BLT Pizza


One of my favorite ‘Mom’ recipes hands-down. This includes a recipe to make your own pizza dough, so you technically could just buy your own, but trust me when I say - it’s ten times better when you make your own.

I may have to make this tonight, in which case, I’ll add pictures later!

You need:

1 pkg. yeast
1 c. warm water
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. oil
2 1/2 c. flour
1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
1-2 tomatoes, chopped
1/2 head lettuce< shredded
1/2 - 1 c. mayonnaise
1/2 - 1 c. cheddar and/or mozzarella, shredded


Make pizza dough by dissolving yeast in warm water. Stir in sugar, salt, oil, and flour, beating vigorously for 20 strokes. Let rest 5 minutes. Divide dough for two round pizzas. Spread out onto greased pans.

Bake 10 minutes, remove from oven and add cheese and bacon. Bake 10 minutes longer, until dough is finished cooking. Remove from oven and spread mayonnaise over bacon. Top with lettuce and tomatoes. Topping quantities make only one pizza, double ingredients to make two.
